Peonies Craft Group

Craft Group
The Peonies Craft Group is a friendly group which currently has 10 members. Our group meets every Thursday at the Penola Hub from 10.00am until mid-day. We meet for companionship, having a cup of tea or coffee together and sewing, knitting, crochet or whatever craft each person likes to do. Sometimes we just come along to meet with our friends. In the past our group had a lot of members, but for various reasons they have left the area.
We welcome all ages and cultures.

Wyndham Interfaith Network – Places of Worship Tour

On Wednesday 3rd May 2017, a group of 26 Wyndham residents took part in the Places of Worship Tour. Wyndham Council organised a bus for interested residents to visit The Werribee Islamic Centre, The Church of Latter Day Saints and St. Andrew’s Catholic Church. St. Andrew’s was the first stop on the tour and we gave a brief history of the parish and our churches. We talked about the architecture of the church and points of interest, such as the stain glass windows, the tabernacle, the confessionals etc. There was also discussion about Catholic beliefs and traditions.
It was a great session with people of other faiths asking interesting questions. It was a great opportunity to open our doors to others and to hear about other faiths as well.
The Wyndham Interfaith Network will be organising more of these tours in the future.
